Information about the China Experience Program for potential scholars and their families.
The China Experience program is a four-week cultural exchange experience for students in
Years 10 and

focusing on language skills and cultural awareness in China. The program is funded by the
Australia China Council and is managed by Swinburne University's Centre

In the 2005 there were 10 awards made available to scholars that were selected through a competitive process of interview that assessed their Chinese language skills and their maturity and suitability to undertake the program.
The 2005 scholars spent several weeks attending chinese secondary schools in Guilin in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of southern China as well as having 'home stay' opportunities with Chinese families. They also had several days touring in Shanghai and Beijing.
